We got into the cattle industry in 2019 with the acquisition of 40 commercial Black Angus heifers. Since then, we have been upgrading to half-blood and purebred Simmentals. We believe that selecting animals to enhance this cross creates strong, well balanced animals with the hardiness to survive our harsh winters outdoors. Our cows are chosen on their genetics, eye appeal, longevity, and temperament. We bale graze during the winters, and firmly believe that the exercise the cows get moving from feed to water (about 1/2 mile each way) helps keep them in excellent physical condition, which leads to better overall health as well as fewer calving complications.
